Synopsis:
In recognition for his hard work at the West Orange Pavillion Mall in New Jersey, Paul Blart (Kevin James) has won an all-expenses-paid trip to a security convention in Las Vegas, and decides to take his teenage daughter, Maya (Raini Rodriguez), with him. However, Paul just can't relax and take it easy, so when he uncovers an art heist at the hotel, he springs into action. This story is set to the music of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon album.

Background:
This special project is based from a discovery by Griffin McElroy on the podcast "Til Death Do Us Blart" where the 2015 film Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 syncs up extremely well with Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon album. It's similar to the famous Dark Side of the Rainbow sync where The Wizard of Oz (1939) is synced up to that same album. While this is not a new idea, I wanted to try my own hand at syncing these two things since I found it really amusing and even funny as well. There will be small differences from what's shown in the original video that showcases these moments such as the first Money scene. The album is played twice as necessary and I also included one extra at the end by adding Money to the ending scene and credits.

Goals:
The main goal is to follow the sync as closely as possible, but also to provide a good experience for those that want to watch this for the sake of amusement or curiosity. There aren't any cuts made to the film, but only certain bits have been silenced in the Dialogue + Music option to allow the music to take center stage. The following are the options available in the MKV file itself:

Audio Options:
1) Dialogue + Music (Includes film audio but with the music replaced with Pink Floyd in the backgound)
2) Music Only (Pink Floyd music only and my preferred option)

Subtitles:
1) Main Dialogue (The main option which omits the cut dialogue)
2) Uncut Dialogue (Secondary option that includes cut dialogue)
3) Pink Floyd Lyrics (For those that want to follow along with the lyrics)

In addition are chapter markers by the songs on The Dark Side of the Moon album. The volume of the music in the first option will be adjusted depending on the scene and how prominent the music will need to be. I'm not the first person to tackle this idea of a Paul Blart-Pink Floyd sync edit (and there are people I bet that have done this better), but this is my own take on this.

Change List:

Removed original music for the first audio option.

Pink Floyd music is synced throughout the film starting with the moment Paul's mom gets hit by a milk truck the moment the first lyric of Breathe (In the Air) is said.

Removed the sound and dialogue for the majority of the second Great Gig in the Sky scene (First audio option).

Removed the sound and diagloue for the Any Colour You Like fight scene (First audio option).

Added Money to the ending scene and credits. The lyrics "Money, get back" sync up to the moment Paul gets knocked back by a horse into the car for humorous effect.

Added Starlight Fan Edits logo at the end.

Example of Moments that Sync Up:

Several cuts in the film manage to line up perfectly with the songs on the album's beat.

Speak to Me plays as we watch Paul Blart's life going on a downward spiral.

When the first lyric of Breathe (In the Air) is heard, Paul Blart's Mom gets hit by a milk truck.

The scene of Paul Blart and Maya arriving in Las Vegas is accompanied by the song On The Run. Even the "Ha" matches with Paul Blart saying "Aloha!"

As the Great Gig in the Sky plays as Paul Blart elegantly spins on a segway. His screams as he nearly hit by the hotal lobby vehicles even match with the vocals.

Money plays during the Security Equipiment Showcase. The scene where a person fires a gun at the target perfectly lines up with the closing guitar riff of the song (the placement of the riff actually differs from how it was portrayed in the video).

Us and Them matches perfectly with the scene of Paul Blart walking up the stairs as we see Vegas at night.

The cuts during the first scene of Vincent's gang stealing an artifact perfectly syncs with the beat of Any Colour You Like.

Brain Damage syncs up in the scene where Paul Blart fends off a bird. They're even both on the grass which lines up with the lyric "The lunatic is on the grass".

Eclipse plays during Paul Blart's convention speech.

On the Run plays when Paul Blart is dragging himself on the floor to get a drip of Ice Cream.

Paul Blart shooting a guard with an arrow syncs up to the start of Money.

Money plays as Paul gathers some weapons and materials from the Security Equipiment Showcase

Us and Them plays in the scene of the Paul Blart and Vincent's climatic hallway showdown (it also adds to the song's theme on conflict).

As Paul Blart and the rest of the security guards begin their charge at Vincent's gang, he lifts up his weapon which syncs with the beat of Any Colour You Like.
